1st DVision supports the Foundation against Cancer
The festive 24-hour Relay for Life event revolves around solidarity and fundraising. Because cancer never sleeps, the Foundation against Cancer stands in solidarity at the event, together with all Survivors and their loved ones, by walking or running in a relay for 24 hours.
On the field
1st DVision is responsible for the inventory management of all materials—in both Dutch and French.
In addition, we transport the ordered materials to the location. Here, we take care of both the assembly and disassembly to provide the Foundation against Cancer with maximum visibility.On-site, our stagehands expertly set up the visibility materials: inflatables, beach flags, banners, flags...
The Three Ceremonies
The Opening Ceremony, Luminaria Ceremony, and Closing Ceremony are the three key moments of the Relay for Life event:
- Opening Ceremony (Saturday): This lap of honor by the Survivors marks the start of Relay for Life. Through this lap, Survivors celebrate their victory, offer hope to others, and thank everyone who supports them.
- Luminaria Ceremony (Saturday evening): This symbolic moment is intended to support those fighting cancer, celebrate those who have overcome the disease, and remember loved ones who have passed away.
- Closing Ceremony (Sunday): The Closing Ceremony honors everyone who helped make Relay for Life possible, and the total amount raised is announced. As a final highlight, everyone walks one last lap together in the fight against cancer.
In addition, you can enjoy free performances, children's entertainment, and a wide variety of food and drink options!
Together Against Cancer
Relay for Life is not a competition, but a solidarity event that brings the community and local associations together for 24 hours in the fight against cancer.
Over several weekends, people don't just run or walk to raise money for scientific cancer research; the (ex-)cancer patients present—also known as Survivors—are honored as true VIPs throughout the 24-hour event.
Everyone is welcome, whether as a survivor, a volunteer, a runner, a walker, or a supporter. Participants are usually registered in teams, but individual participation is also possible.
