During the Corona period, Beobank and 1st DVision joined forces, leading to a wonderful result: the 'Beobank Village'.
You probably remember it well. Curfews, lockdowns, no more parties, not being allowed to meet with friends and family, working from home... and consequently, no longer being able to cheer at sports events.
To provide both riders and fans with an enjoyable sporting experience nonetheless, Beobank and 1st DVision came up with the 'Beobank Volkstribune' during the Corona years.
The 'Volkstribune' was created to give fans the chance to cheer on their favorite riders by projecting messages onto the LED boarding, along with photos of their faces or even recordings of cheers and applause. This allowed us to create a new experience for the riders during the races held behind closed doors.
In the meantime, the Corona period has passed, and last weekend in Meulebeke, we were finally able to welcome supporters once again! This year featured a spectacular 'Beobank Village'.
No fewer than 170 Beobank guests were welcomed to the 'Village'. This is where the Volkstribune was located—this year, filled with real people!
The guests were able to keep warm with Beobank-branded blankets and gas heaters spread across the site. They could follow the race via the large LED screen opposite the grandstand, or for those who wanted to be right in the middle of the action, from the side of the track.
In addition, the general public could also take part in some fun games and a major giveaway!
